Review: A Kingdom Of Flesh And Fire By Jennifer L. Armentrout

Synopsis:

A betrayal…

Every thing Poppy believed was a lie, even the man she fell in love with. She is seen as a symbol for a monstrous kingdom and she doesn’t know who she is without the Maiden. He knows that she is just as dangerous as him. The darkness. The Prince of Atlantia. He wants her to fight against him and that’s an order that he is more than happy to follow. He might have accepted it, but he will never accept it again.

An election…

Casteel da’Neer is a name that goes by many names. His lies are just as seductive and captivating as his touch. Its lies are as sensual and delicious as its bite. Poppy knows that she shouldn’t be able to trust him. To achieve your goals, you need her to be healthy, happy, and whole. He’s the only way she can get what she wants. She must find her brother Ian to see if he is a soulless Ascended. Casteel’s work with Casteel is more risky than working against him. Casteel still tempts her with every breath, promising her everything she’s ever wanted. Casteel has other plans for her. They could bring her unimaginable pleasure or unfathomable pain. She will be forced to see beyond what she believed she knew about herself and about him. They could create plans that will unify their lives in ways no kingdom has ever imagined. She is too reckless and too hungry to resist the temptation.

A secret …

As they wait for the return of their Prince, unrest has increased in Atlantia. Poppy is the focal point of all this. The King wants it to be used to send a message. The Descenters want her to die. The unpredictable behavior of wolves is becoming more common. The Atlantians start to fear their ability to feel pain and emotion, and they become more unpredictable. Dark secrets are at stake. They are entangled in the bloody sins of two kingdoms who would do anything to keep them from the truth. It may be too late when the sky begins to bleed and the earth shakes.

About “A kingdom Of Flesh And Fire”

Jennifer L. Armentrout created something extraordinary. This book is well-worth the hype, and it’s far better than the first.

Poppy’s story continues with A kingdom of flesh, fire (From blood & ash 2). He had believed everything he thought was true, and his feelings for Hawke (Casteel), went far beyond what he thought. Casteel also announced his intention to marry her, but it doesn’t end there. As you can see, his answer isn’t entirely positive. But… But…

The book A kingdom of flesh, fire and blood was a collection of 10. It tells the story of the journey from Solis, Atlantia, and the changing feelings between Poppy (and Casteel). The author also introduces us to the world of werewolves and vampires.

Py is a fighter. Strong character, who wants to help others and be accepted by Atlantia’s citizens. As the story progresses, we see Poppy’s evolution. She gradually clarifies her thoughts and finds herself in the end.

Casteel, on the other side, is a character I love. We see Casteel as a person with a great sense for humor, strong and determined, and protective. Poppy is a reference to all her “masks”, and their reasons. He is an amazing character who falls in love with everyone who meets him.

Poppy, your heart! It is a gift that I don’t deserve. As he looked at me, he put his hands on his knees and lowered his head. It is one I will keep until the end.

Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Enemies to Lovers has been so successful that I have been hooked since the beginning. Poppy and Casteel are a cat-and-mouse relationship that is full of passion, attraction and pent up feelings.

It is true that it reminds me a lot of A Court of Mist and Fury. It starts with enemies and then turns into lovers, which gradually becomes more. The characters and their personalities gave me the impression that I was reading another Rhys and Feyre.

Kieran is a great character to mention. Although he is not a prominent character in the story, he will still be captivating you.

“But, still, sometimes the heartache that comes from loving someone is worth it even if that means saying goodbye to that person.”

The plot is A kingdom of flesh, fire. I was able to understand the workings of Solis and Atlantia. The chapters are full of surprises and data that left me completely stunned. They are not short, however.

This book is a masterpiece of narrative writing by the author. This book grabs you from the beginning and leaves you wanting more. This second book has more balance between Poppy’s thoughts and the dialogues. Because it is still told from Poppy’s perspective.

A kingdom of flesh, fire is a book that has many events. There are also many plot twists and actions in each chapter. The battles are well-staged. Also, the romantic parts and Poppy’s thoughts changing and evolving are excellent.

I can summarize:

A kingdom of flesh, fire has left me speechless. This book is addictive from the beginning to the end. It has a unique setting and contains many mysteries that are slowly being solved.
